so... just watched the final episode of the vampire diaries season 2.. very nice ending i must say :) finally everybody is let in plus there are some very interesting twists and turns...
in this season we saw them all, saw history with present intertwined.. flashbacks to the founders ball of mystic falls in 1864, we met catherine (or katerina petrova), we met some vampires from the tomb... most of them killed but catherines role developed really nicely over the episodes... so we learn that she was in love with an original (first vampire family) but betrayed him and fled england where they lived.. in the last few episodes "klaus" comes back and takes a key role in the whole thing... after damon getting bitten by a werewolf and dying we find out that the blood of klaus is the cure because he is a vampire born from a werewolf bloodline, therefore a hybrid... concluding the season we see stefan turning himself in to be some sorf of executioner to klaus and get back on human blood.. jeremy is shot by liz and brought back to life by bonnie which is warned that that action "will have consequences"... the rest is left open... in the last minute we see jeremy walking through the house when dead vicky and dead anna appear.......
all in all a very nice conclusion with some pretty nice promisses for season 3... can't wait... :)
